“Halloween?” Mister asks as I explain his costume.
“Yes, Halloween. You’ll dress up-”
“Like a fireman,” he says, patting his coat’s reflective strips.
“Then we’ll go to the neighbors’ houses and say ‘trick-or-treat’ and they will give you candy.”
“Say trick-or-treat,” Mister repeats. “They give you candy.”
When he says that word his eyes sparkle like, well, a kid in a candy store. This Halloween is going to be sweet.
